What is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy?

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy or HBOT is a procedure that takes place inside an air sealed, chamber filled with pressurized oxygen in an increased atmospheric pressure. The process aids the body to absorb oxygen in a greater amount and transports it to the blood cells, blood plasma, cerebrospinal fluid, and other body fluids.  Sufficient oxygen content in the affected tissues promotes healing and provides relief.
